My "Build A Village Together" approach to working with families through separation and/or divorce
Separation and divorce are often times of intense emotion, where individuals and couples understandably focus on what has not been working and feel a strong pull to move away from pain and begin again. When children are involved, however, the path forward is more complex. Parents are asked to hold two realities at once: to grieve the loss of their relationship while also building a new kind of partnership as co-parents. This work requires emotional regulation, reflection, and the ability to separate feelings about a former partner from the shared commitment to raising children. It is difficult work—even under the best of circumstances—and it is precisely during these times that individuals and families need a strong, steady “village” of support.
My approach is grounded in becoming part of that village and helping families intentionally build a new one that can support them through transition and beyond.

Depending on the needs of the family, I may work as a parent coordinator, mediator, consultant, or therapist—creating a structured, supportive space where conflict can be reduced and practical pathways forward can emerge. I partner with parents to develop thoughtful co-parenting relationships, support individuals in processing loss and defining what comes next, and help children continue to grow and feel secure within a two-household family. Across all of these roles, my work is collaborative and forward-looking: together, we explore the dynamics at play, strengthen the skills needed for healthier relationships, and build a foundation that allows each member of the family to move forward with greater clarity, stability, and connection.
